Why the Australian sun eats car paint, and what a ceramic coating kit actually does about it
Faded bonnets, chalky roofs and wheels that never look clean again. Most of it starts with UV, salt and brake dust. Here is how it works and how to stop it at home.

The problem: clear coat is thinner than you think
Factory clear coat is roughly the thickness of a sheet of paper. Under strong Australian UV it oxidises, goes dull and finally peels. Coastal salt, bird droppings and tree sap speed it up. Wax helps, but it washes off within weeks.
What ceramic coating is
A ceramic coating is a liquid that bonds to the clear coat and hardens into a thin, glassy layer. Water beads off, dirt struggles to stick and the paint underneath is shielded from UV and chemicals. One application lasts far longer than wax.

Why a kit, not a detailer
- Everything for one job in one box: prep, coating and applicators.
- You do it in your own driveway, at your own pace.
- Separate kits for paint, wheels, glass and exterior trim, so you buy only what the car needs.
How ordering works

If your paint still has its shine, now is the cheapest moment to protect it. Once clear coat fails, no coating can bring it back.
